Bao Gong — known also as Bao Zheng, Lord Bao, and Kung Pao — was the incorruptible black-faced judge of Song Dynasty China. A bringer of justice who feared no emperor, spared no corrupt official, and answered only to truth. His dark complexion, far from coincidence. A man history tried to obscure and a legend not forgotten.
